It is an overwhelming feeling of emotions to stand in the middle of one of the biggest football fields in our nation and listen to the stadium filled with over 80,000 people, singing Amazing Grace.
A surreal moment for me as a photographer, as a CHRISTIAN photographer. As I stood there in awe and humbled by that very moment, I reached to take a Snapchat of the entire stadium, singing the words, “I once was lost, but now I’m found". I felt the power of Christ. HIS presence was within those words and that moment. It will forever be a part of my heart. It showed me that this world still holds fast to God and his love and the teachings of the bible. Where the lost who want to be found, gathered together in one of the biggest Christian concert events to be put on in our country on March 6, 2016 at the AT&T Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Pastor Greg Laurie and the hundreds of volunteers that come together to make this wonderful and powerful event happen, was a testament of the love, dedication and hard work given to pull off an event of this magnitude. Harvest America brings you the best of Christian contemporary artists, Grammy Award Winner, Chris Tomlin, Grammy Award Winners, Switchfoot, Grammy Nominees, MercyMe and Co-founder/President of non-profit ReachLife Ministries, Christian Hip-Hop Artists, Lecrae – these are the artists that we sing along to on the Christian radio stations. Artists that fill our hearts with their melodies of truth, hope and a forever undying love for those who have felt they were unlovable. It showed us the beauty and power that music still can have on a person to move your soul and bring Christ to those that have not known his love. It was a night of hope, encouragement, uplifting support, forgiveness and it reminded us that we are not alone as a sinner in this world. That God loves us no matter where we came from, who we are or the sins we have committed. That we are all welcome in the house of God – no matter, age, race or past. Harvest America was a celebration of that Love and Acceptance that we all have through HIM.
